                 They could be with us

         
          That evening on January 2003 when I and Dima talked the last time in my kitchen he had his 22 years.

          Dima was gradually coming out from a deep depression. We knew that the life is not over, everything is ahead: information that there is no admission of sick with hepatitis to the desired from childhood medical institute turned to be false; and his departure from Technion (High Technical Institute) is not so great tragedy, and even the most dreadful thing which is the cause of all troubles is not frightful when you are with God. We knew that the Lord is able to save and to deliver Dima as well as He did it with many others caught into the slavery of drugs. One more step and everything will be okay. The hope in long-awaited freedom has come. The faith in a healing was born.

          Dima: Drug addicts may be delivered from drugs only when a chance to "vaccinate" to a person new thinking, attitude, new "Me" will appear.

          The next morning Dima has died. He has died due drug overdose.

          One more victim, one more human tragedy. You are mistaken if you think that there is no war happening now. The enemy is approaching us, our families, our children. He is hurting, taking a person into captivity, causing his sufferings. He is annihilating personalities. He is killing.

Dima:  In that time a person needs the "vaccination" (returning) of an interest to live, by any possible price. Wounded soul is seeking the shelter and may find it in God.

         
          Recently young man has lived in my home. In Israel he has mother and stepfather who do not want to accept him, because he is the drug addict. Yes, he tried to stop with drugs, but did not succeed. I am shuddering when I remember that time. It is terrible to see how the person is suffering, to see his "breaking" and lack the opportunities to help him in order to relieve his suffering. A lad did not want to turn for a help to God, he has turned to me, but a human is powerless in this case. Yes, I could feed him, give him to drink - but I could not save him.

          Drug addiction is the spiritual problem. None medicine, none method is able to deliver a person from such spiritual dependence, but the Lord only. People who passed through various rehabilitation courses and experienced strongest pains and sufferings are returning to the same addiction. They return back to slavery.

          Dima:  The most important for a person is not to be alone ... At some moment a person is deciding to alleviate the feeling of loneliness with drugs, but they assuage it just for a while.

          God hates the sin, but loves and saves the sinner. He hates the drug, but loves someone whom we call drug addict. God loves the suffering, despised, sick person, His great creation, caught into the net of satan.

          It is not our task to investigate on who is guilty. We have to know on what to do. To help! To help to be saved!

Dima:  The main problem appearing in the moment of breaking with drugs is the depression. While breaking from the reality of drug addiction a human is facing with the world he is already not used to live in. He is feeling himself very weak and lonely.

         
          We are praying for the Christian Rehabilitation Center.
          It is impossible to solve the problem on one`s own effort, but with the Lord only.

          First of all, our Center should become the place for a personal meeting with Saviour. It should be the place with loving and compassionate helpers remote from temporal problems. These helpers should be the people able to protect, to encourage. They should be brothers and sisters, first of all, and than doctors and judges. Our healer and judge is God only.

          People who were rejected by everyone who claimed that the rehabilitation of drug addict is senseless, because it takes the whole human life, will be able to come to our Center. They will be convinced that there is One who will be near all the life, who would not leave nor forsake.

          I pray that there would be no victims, that young, talented lads and girls would not leave this life, that mothers would not cry, that children would not suffer, that we may do something for their salvation.

          I pray that each one of you will take part in God`s work according your strength.
