Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom  (1 Cor. 1:22)

JEWS DEMAND MIRACLES ...

 My name is Michael. I was born in 1964 and lived in a city Gorkiy (Nijniy Novgorod) in Volga region. I was a complete non-believer when I came to live in Israel 10 years ago.

          But once I`ve got the book "They thought about themselves". This book had greatly affected me, but especially that remarkable case with the man who fell on construction from scaffoldings. He broke his spinal column and doctors said that this man would never walk. While staying in bed this man accidentally turned on TV and get to a religious channel. During the TV broadcast from a fellowship of believers in Jesus, the pastor who was a leader of this meeting has pointed a finger toward a TV screen as he was pointing directly at this sick person and said: "Stand up and walk!". A paralyzed man simply thought: "Mat God grant this to me!". The next morning this man was in a good health !

          The text that I have read have a great impact on my person and I`ve decided to attend the church coming Saturday. I shall never forget how I was met by pastor Yuri. I was not even familiar to him, but he has welcomed me as one of his relatives. He was so rejoicing to my coming as he has met a best friend after a long separation. And this was expressed sincerely, trully, without any imitation. I was thinking: "It is strange. Why he is rejoicing if there is nothoing special in me".

          That same day I`ve seen a first miracle !

          We were praying for a healing of a little boy. He was pressed down by a radiator and could not walk, could not bend his leg afterwards. But shortly after a prayer the boy has started to run ! But I have not believed. I thought that most probably the parents of that child were paid and, therefore, played this performance.

          At the end of the meeting we have started to pray for all who was wishing a prayer. I saw people falling down and some other things that have happened to them, things that I did not understand. I have decided that it was a hypnosis. But my wife Lyuba has accepted the Lord on that meeting.

          The next day I was talking with my friend who earlier spoke with me about God, but I was very ignorant then. I`ve started to ask my friend very silly questions, such as: "Why there is a need in hospitals if the Lord is able to heal ?", "Show Him to me and then I would start to believe" and many more questions. The friend said: "Ask the Lord about something that impossible for you and make shure that He is real".

          On Monday, while I was interlaying bags with vegetables at my work, I`ve decided to try tom test God. I said: "God, if you will strike my back now with the sledge-hammer then I would believe that You are alive". The same moment something has strongly hit my back. I thought that my eyes would fly out of eye-sockets. Do you think I have believed that it was God ? Noway, I`ve decided that I was simply worn out.

          On that point my experiments were not over. "What if right now the blood will begin to leak from my finger - I would start to believe" - I said. The same moment the blood have started to leak from my finger-nails. I`ve rushed to a drugstore with the aim to buy all needed for a bandaging, but thought about God on the way. "If You exist, Lord, stop the blood !" - and in a twinkling of an eye all the bleeding was ceased.

          But I was still a non-believer. I was as unbelieving Thomas, even more than that - I did not believe nor when I was listening, nor when I saw, nor when even I was touching by my own hands.

          The next day when I was working on a street the rain came down in torrents. I thought that tt was another appropriate case to test God once more, and I said: "God, if I`ll go into the street now and would not get wet, would go to church under the rain - than I shall never test You". It was impossible to think out more silly thing.

          Nevertheless, put on a jacket and went into rainy street. What do you think has happened to me then ? I was staying under a downpour as I was  a bonehead person and was touching my jacket. I was completely dry as someone was holding an invisible umbrella above me. THE MIRACLE HAS HAPPENED !

          What the foolish things did I say to the Creator of an Universe, to Great GOD ! The Lord found as meaningful to perform His miracles for me personaly, for His on-believing naive child, in order to covert him into believer.

          The next coming Saturday I have accepted the Lord, I was born again - it is the most splendid miracle, uncomparable !!!

          The next morning, on the way to a work, I`ve seen a world differently - flowers were flowering in places where they were not present before, birds were singing, and I was flying as I have had wings !

          About a month later two our sons came to God: Aliosha and Sasha. Everything has changed around me, in my family and in me. The joy has come in life.

          Temptations and mistakes were happening afterwards, but the Lord was faithful to His Word and never left nor me, nor my family. He was lifting us up when we were stumbling and falling, even when I was not faithful. He was remaining faithful, He was with me.

          I have believed in God, I have believed that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that my life was filled with the real miracles, peace, righteousness. Do not test God as I did, but simply give Him your heart and you will see a lot of miracles in your life. He is living and real. He is listening you right now. You can turn to Him with the same prayer that I spoke in the year 1999:

          Dear LORD JESUS ! I approach you through the blood of covenant. Forgive all my sins. Forgive that all this time I have lived without You. I accept You as my God and my Savior and I give all my life into Your hands. Make me a person you want me to be. I thank You, Lord. Amen.

          If you have read the prayer with an open heart, you should know that JESUS has entered there. The miracle has happened with you. Believe me, it is realy true !

Lord gives forces

Each meeting we can see in the middle of a hall a tall svelte figure near the similar tall and svelte videocamera tripod. This is our brother Misha, blessed cameraman, and near him, his helpmate in all the matters, his friend and wife Lyuba, their sons - Aliosha and Sasha - they actively praticipate in the ministry of their parents.

Misha and Lyuba are having time in everything - church bookshop is in their competence. There you can always find new and best spiritual literature, audio and video production which helps us to grow in the knowledge of God.

 How they are having the time for a such great work ?

 The answer is very simple - God gives forces for good causes.
